Find a Virtual Assistant

Welcome to our member directory. There are many VAs in Colorado, so how can you find the right VA for you? Consider the following when talking with potential VAs.

1. What are the main services you need?

Our directory is divided into different categories. What type of work do you need done? Pretty much all VAs will do different types of work, but many VAs focus on one specific type. If you need help with a specific piece of software or a specific skill, use the search box on the left side of the web site.

Business Development: help you create a business identity, start a marketing plan, and help your business along.

General VAs: provide a variety of services without specializing in one service/client type.

Event Management: Event Management administers events for individuals or businesses in an array of different industries. Event managers are responsible for the creation and development an event.  It also includes, but is not limited to event concept, budgeting, negotiation, technical aspects, logistical elements, client services and promotion.  The size of an event can be as small as luncheons or as complex an international tour.

Technical VAs: are technophiles and are good at updating and maintaining websites, integrating technologies, and working with data.

Training: these VAs can help teach you and your employees. Learn new technologies, old technologies, and much more.

Bookkeepers: are good with numbers and accounting.

Human Resources VAs: can help you find employees, screen employees, do background checks, and design interviews.

Graphic and Design VAs: specialize in graphic arts and can help you design business identities, choose colors, design brochures, and create graphics.

Marketing: specialize in helping you market your business.

Medical Billing: Identify and recover revenue owed to providers from their contracted providers. Follow-up on short pays rather than write-off amounts owed.

Real Estate VAs: can help with most aspects of selling and buying houses for realtors.

Writers Support: edit and proofread your work, acquire ISBNs, and help sell your work.

Social Media: A Social Media Virtual Assistant can help your business by evaluating your current social presence and make recommendations for improvement. They research new social avenues and communities for you to participate in, and prepare social marketing strategies and action plans. They manage and implement what is needed to increase your online and brand presence. They specialize in social media optimization to increase organic search rankings.

Transcriptionists: Transcription is listening to a tape or digital recording of someone talking and typing those words into a document. VAs that specialize in transcription generally do additional administrative tasks.

2. Think about personality characteristics and your other business needs

  • Do you like to communicate primarily by email or by telephone?
  • What kind of turn around time do you need?
  • Do you have a lot of emergencies? What kind of turn around do you need for those emergencies?
  • Does it matter if the VA subcontracts out some of the work?
  • What kind of personality do you work best with?

3. Begin your search

Narrow your choices by looking at the websites of VAs and talking with them on the phone.
